The Consortium Books, a project of the International Consortium for Critical Theory Programs, publishes critical theory from Africa and its diasporas, Latin America, the Arab world, and South Asia, pursuing the importance of translation not only among languages, but epistemological paradigms as well.

The three book series expand what is signified under critical theory by attending to an enlarged landscape of forms and genres of critical intervention foregrounding situated practices and formations of knowledge. Critical South translates works of critique from the southern hemispheres into English, while Abya Yala and Travesía/s place African and Latin American experimental forms of critique into dialogue.
